The EPA Board is a statutory body, established under the Environment Protection Act 1993, with expertise in:

  • environment protection
  • business and industry
  • environmental conservation and advocacy
  • waste industry
  • environmental law
  • local government
  • management.

Board members are appointed by the Governor for their practical knowledge and commitment to protecting South Australia's environment.

The Board's statutory role is to provide strategic direction, and to make key decisions on significant environmental issues under the Act.
