Lower Lakes monitoring 
The EPA and DENR are monitoring water quality in the Lower Lakes region. The Lower Lakes region is a recognised Ramsar wetland of international importance. It is home to many local industries such as fisheries, agriculture, tourism and supports the local economy. Graphs and water quality information are available for each location. Waste to Resources Policy guidelines
Under the Environment Protection (Waste to Resources) Policy 2010 (W2R EPP), suitable waste from metropolitan Adelaide must be subject to resource recovery processes prior to disposal to landfill from 1 September 2012. Certain materials are also generally banned from disposal to landfill under the W2R EPP.
