Background to the Project
In response to community concern, the EPA undertook air quality monitoring, an odour survey and an audit of 15 sites licensed by the EPA in the Kilburn and Gepps Cross area during 2005 and 2006. The project has helped to identify potential areas for improved performance by local industry that may reduce impacts on the local environment.
Further work undertaken as part of this project has included liaison with the community regarding the project findings and working collaboratively with industry representatives to address environmental management at a regional level.
