Ozone

Ozone protection licensing (excluding fire protection) is now the responsibility of the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities.

The Australian Refrigeration Council, as the approved industry board, will issue licences on behalf of the department.

The Commonwealth regulations regarding licences for fire protection systems took effect on 1 March 2005.

Water

Licensing of water use and infrastructure is now the responsibility of the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources.
