Scott Creek is home to a diverse array of aquatic invertebrates
with 180 invertebrates collected from this site at Scott Bottom
between 1994 and 2004. Many rare and uncommon invertebrates can
be found at this site.
The vulture caddis has been collected from Scott Creek on a few
occasions. It has also been found in a few other streams in the
southern regions of the State. They are known to prefer slow-flowing
streams with silty habitats where they feed on decaying animal
and plant material.
