Introduction

Venus Bay is a large coastal embayment east of Streaky Bay on the west coast of South Australia. Venus Bay Conservation Park and a conservation reserve surround Venus Bay. There are also rural areas surrounding the northern and eastern regions around the bay. There are two small towns on the shores of Venus Bay: Port Kenny on the north coast and Venus Bay on the southern edge.

Water quality assessment

Water quality within Venus Bay is assessed as being in good, moderate or poor condition by interpreting water chemistry and algal (chlorophyll) data, according to the needs of ecosystem protection, recreation and aquaculture. >> More
