EPA legislation

One of the EPA's roles is to work towards protecting SA's waters while allowing for economic and social development. The tools used to achieve this include the Environment Protection Act, the Environment Protection (Water Quality) Policy and other legislation.

EPA water quality programs

The EPA coordinates several programs that are designed to improve our knowledge of our water environments and improve their condition. Some of these programs involve strong co-operation with other government departments, industry and the community.
